CASE STUDY — LADYBIRD JET

A website built to work without
its owner needing to run it.

Ladybird Jet needed a digital presence as elevated as the experience of flying private — and systems that could support a high-touch operation without adding to the workload of a lean, woman-owned team.

SYSTEMS BUILD

Ticket design for Ladybird Jet

the brief —

Built in real time, for a business that couldn’t wait.

Ladybird Jet is barely a year old. Devon launched booking flights and selling memberships before the logo was finished — no website, no automations, no system in place. Just a clear vision and a business moving faster than the infrastructure behind it.

The ask was simple: take control of everything, quickly. Brand identity, website, copy, photography direction, and intelligent systems — all built simultaneously, all built to last. The site has been live for four months.

Design before systems. Always.

Before any automation was built, the visual identity was established. Brand architecture, typography, color language, and imagery direction were developed to reflect the experience of flying private: composed, intelligent, and quietly aspirational. Every design decision was made for longevity — built to remain true to the brand as the business grew.

THE INTELLIGENT SYSTEMS —

A website that handles what a team member would.

Once the design foundation was established, intelligent systems were built into the site — not bolted on. Each system was designed to reduce a specific point of friction in the client journey, from first inquiry through to flight.

01

Inquiry Capture

Website forms collect detailed, relevant information and route it reliably. No inquiry is missed, and nothing requires manual sorting.

02

Passenger Organization

Passenger details are collected once and organised clearly, eliminating repeated data entry and administrative overhead across flights.

03

Automated Follow-up

Confirmations and follow-up communications happen automatically — reinforcing professionalism without requiring the team’s attention.

04

Operation Flow

Invoicing, production workflows, manifests, and community communications run through a structured system — not a collection of disconnected tools.

05

Email Capture + Outreach

Newsletter and subscriber setup ensures the business can communicate with its community consistently when the time is right.

06

Site Visibility

SEO + AEO structure built into the site ensures Ladybird Jet remains discoverable to the right audience as the business grows.

PERFORMANCE —

Numbers that show the work is working.

Once the design foundation was established, intelligent systems were built into the site — not bolted on. Each system was designed to reduce a specific point of friction in the client journey, from first inquiry through to flight.

In three months, Ladybird Jet appeared in organic Google search results 9,880 times — generating 976 clicks at a click-through rate of 9.9%. The industry average sits around 2–3%. That’s nearly five times the benchmark, achieved entirely through organic search with no paid advertising.

A high click-through rate is a brand signal as much as an SEO one. It means that when the right person finds Ladybird Jet in search results, the copy, the positioning, and the brand identity are doing enough to earn the click before they’ve even landed on the site.

The business feels organized, calm, and scalable, which is huge for a growing, woman-owned charter operation.”

the result —

The design speaks clearly. The systems run quietly.

Ladybird Jet now has a website that functions as a team member — capturing, organizing, and responding to client inquiries while the business focuses on delivering an exceptional experience in the air.

The team spends less time on administation and more time on the work that brought clients in the first place. The business runs the way it should.

Ladybird Jet is supported by the Studio Membership — ongoing creative direction, systems refinement, and strategic support as the business grows.
